Anyone with experience advocating for tangible changes, a desire to work through campus processes at the highest level, and a commitment to making OSU a more sustainable community is encouraged to apply!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Position Duties Include:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Supporting policies and actions that reduce OSU\u2019s carbon emissions.<\/li><li>Working with campus stakeholder groups to promote and implement practices that reduce emissions.<\/li><li>Partnering with ASOSU, the OSU Foundation and other campus units to advance fundraising efforts for projects that reduce carbon emissions.<\/li><li>Identifying OSU policies and procedures that may impede OSU\u2019s carbon reduction efforts and research and develop options to improve them.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications Include:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Exposure to university procedures<\/li><li>Project management and volunteer coordination experience<\/li><li>Public policy and\/or planning coursework<\/li><li>Broad network of OSU student and community leaders.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Previous students in this position have had the opportunity to:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Meet with the OSU Foundation to discuss fundraising options for reducing campus carbon emissions<\/li><li>Work with campus stakeholders to plan and implement a carbon offsets program for university air travel<\/li><li>Research OSU grant recipients\u2019 projects to look for sustainability content to inform the Sustainability Office\u2019s AASHE STARS report<\/li><li>Learn about the inner-workings of the university<\/li><li>Table with the Sustainability Office at events to heighten campus awareness of sustainability efforts<\/li><li>And even attend the 2019 AASHE conference in Spokane, WA to learn about nationwide higher education sustainability efforts!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Still not convinced?
