Become a hero and join the league of the Waste Watchers!<\/h3>\n

Winter term meetings begin tonight! Starting at 5:00 PM and going until 6:30 PM in Student Experience Center Room 206 (aka the Center for Civic Engagement office), our weekly meetings will happen each Thursday of the term until March 14th. Join the club\u00a0to meet fellow heroes who share your interest in sustainability, & learn about our waste-fighting squad! Club is free and open to all enrolled students.<\/p>\n

The Waste Watcher\u2019s mission is to engage students and the community in waste reduction at OSU by providing educational programming, meaningful opportunities for action, and empowerment of future leaders.\u00a0 The group is co-sponsored by Campus Recycling – Oregon State University and the Center for Civic Engagement – Oregon State University.<\/p>\n

This term you can participate by attending our Meet ‘n’ Eat<\/a>\u00a0on Thursday, January 17th during our regular meeting time and location. Free American Dream Pizza will be provided! (With additional soy cheese and gluten free pizzas for people with dietary restrictions).\u00a0Come on by to nosh on pizza and save the world from the scourge of waste!<\/p>\n

Other volunteer opportunities you can get involved with this term include our Winter Repair Fair<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday, February 20th with shifts between 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm.\u00a0Located at the OSUsed Store at 644 SW 13th St. Corvallis, OR, this event focuses on repairing broken items and teaching students and the community how to fix their items instead of throwing them away.\u00a0 Attend our meetings to learn more about the Repair Fairs or visit our\u00a0website.<\/a><\/p>\n
