Steingraber will discuss the scientific literature that shows a strong link between fracking and cancer as well as the environmental justice implications of the current energy industry. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2018\/05\/Kcw3c-Md-2.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-10503\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2018\/05\/Kcw3c-Md-2-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"307\" height=\"307\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Doors open at 6pm, so come early to enjoy some wine from Cardwell Hill Cellars while viewing the pop-up gallery show, <em>Unsilenced: Art and Sounds of Resistance<\/em>. This exhibit features local and national artists. Also between 6pm and 7pm, you can come listen to Jan Michael Looking Wolf and Dana Reason perform a special original song, while you peruse Grass Roots Books &amp; Music\u2019s selection of Sandra Steingraber\u2019s books.
