Turning down the furnace or turning off a light is an easy way to save energy in the home and at work.\u00a0 But there are many other times when it takes a little investment today to save tomorrow.<\/p>\n

New energy revolving loan fund programs on campus and in the Corvallis community have been set up to get around potential cost issues of capital intensive energy upgrades.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00 PM in the public library<\/strong><\/span> downtown, join members of the OSU\/Corvallis community for a “SELF help” energy workshop<\/a> for owners of homes within Corvallis.\u00a0 SELF is the new Saving Energy Loan Fund<\/strong><\/span> created by the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition<\/a> Energy Action Team, supported by the Corvallis Environmental Center<\/a> and administered by the City of Corvallis Housing Division<\/a>.\u00a0 All those proper nouns means this is a very collaborative partnership!\u00a0 SELF uses limited-time<\/span> federal economic stimulus money for energy savings and economic development.\u00a0 Loans can be between $2,500 and $10,000<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
