Although rooted in horticulture and agriculture, permaculture design also touches on regional planning, ecology, animal husbandry, technology, architecture and international development&#8221; . This course is recommended for those who are\u00a0gardeners, professional planners, landscape architects, nursery owners, rural and urban farmers, school gardeners, and c\u200bommunity organizers.<\/p>\n<p>Learning outcomes of this course include;<\/p>\n<div id=\"course-ribbons\" class=\"tab-content clear-left\">\n<section id=\"course-what-youll-learn\" class=\"tab-pane fade active in\" role=\"tabpanel\">\n<ul id=\"course-outcomes-list\">\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Observation and analysis of the natural processes of a site<\/li>\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Design principles and methods<\/li>\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Dynamics of water systems, soils, gardens and trees<\/li>\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Urban permaculture<\/li>\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Apply an ethically based whole-systems design approach<\/li>\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Use concepts, principles, and methods derived from ecosystems, indigenous peoples, and other time-tested practices<\/li>\n<li class=\"course-outcomes-item\">Learn about regional planning, ecology, animal husbandry, appropriate technology, architecture, and international development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course runs from\u00a0January 8 &#8211; March 19, 2018, and is online &amp; instructor-led.
