This meeting will focus on Stress, Resilience, and Character Development across the Life Span.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #9ea616\">Friday evening<\/span><\/strong> will feature Roots of Resilience team member, <strong><span style=\"color: #6a308b\">Aubrey Sills<\/span><\/strong> and her poster &#8220;Parenting, household chaos, and children\u2019s stress system activity as predictors of externalizing behaviors in preschool.&#8221;\u00a0 Our team will also be presenting the poster &#8220;Teacher-child relationships moderate effects of adverse childhood experiences on social and behavioral skills and problems in preschool.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #9ea616\">Sunday afternoon&#8217;s<\/span><\/strong> <em>Relationship-oriented Interventions to Promote Resilience among Children and Youth who have Experienced Adversity Symposium<\/em> will feature<strong><span style=\"color: #6a308b\"> Dr. Shannon Lipscomb<\/span><\/strong>, presenting hot-off-the-press data from our recent data collection.<\/p>\r\n<p>Our ever-busy research team will also be presenting non-Roots of Resilience research as well!<\/p>\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #6a308b\">Hillary Lewis<\/span><\/strong> will be presenting additional posters on Friday evening: &#8220;Adverse childhood experiences and family-teacher relationships in early care and education&#8221; and &#8220;Children\u2019s activity in the stress response system within preschool classrooms: The role of classroom quality.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #6a308b\"><strong>Jamie Jaramillo<\/strong><\/span> will be presenting in the same symposium as Dr. Lipscomb on &#8220;Supporting Siblings in Foster Care: Nurturing Relationships and Resilience among Youth in Foster Care.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p>Hope to see you there!<\/p>\r\n<p><em>Your partners in resilience, <\/em><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #e14301\"><strong><em>The Roots of Resilience Research Team<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roots of Resilience will be presenting research at the Society for the Study of Human Development 11th Biennial Meeting in Portland, OR.
