Kali Doten graduated with a B.S. in Zoology from Oregon State University in 2013, where she was among the first to record the entire courtship and mating behavior sequence of a salamander endemic to the PNW, Rhyacotriton variegatus. She has since worked as a wildlife ecologist and begun organizing around a variety of social justice issues in her community. Kali is pursuing the M.A. in EAH to synthesize her visions of a feminist conservation ecology and activism within the scientific community to combat climate change and transform westernized wildlife management practices.
