{"id":3,"date":"2024-09-28T05:58:58","date_gmt":"2024-09-28T05:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/dramainthedebug\/?p=3"},"modified":"2025-01-14T03:00:43","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T03:00:43","slug":"blog-post-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/dramainthedebug\/2024\/09\/28\/blog-post-1\/","title":{"rendered":"CS 461: Blog Post #1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hello World!<\/strong> Welcome to <em>Drama in the Debug<\/em>, where I\u2019ll be sharing my capstone journey along with some fun bits of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m Allyson, and while I\u2019ve been living in Oregon (PST) for the past three years, I\u2019m originally from Washington state. Some of my favorite things include spending time with family and friends, taking walks with my dog, traveling, cooking, watching movies and shows, doing pilates, indulging in sweet treats, and sipping on matcha. Lately, I\u2019ve been hooked on the shows <em>Tell Me Lies<\/em> and <em>Reasonable Doubt<\/em>\u2014I live for the drama (hence the blog name, of course)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for tech, it&#8217;s tough to choose a favorite, but right now, my air fryer is definitely winning. I\u2019m working toward my CS degree with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and here are a few projects that really excite me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>OSU Orientation Gamification<\/strong>: I love the idea of making orientation fun! Game development is new for me, but I\u2019m so ready to dive in and learn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Citizen Science App for Kids<\/strong>: I\u2019ve worked on the UI and done UX research for a learning app, so being part of the entire process\u2014from frontend to backend\u2014would be fun!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Language Immersion Virtual Environment (LIVE)<\/strong>: This project combines my experience with UI\/UX for a language learning app and my desire to gain game development and GPT API skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I can\u2019t wait to see which project team I end up on and look forward to sharing all the ups and downs with you.
