Job Description

Job descriptions are created to make sure the candidates know what they will do, but it is also necessary for the company to understand which skills to look for in the candidate when hiring a candidate because this job description explains the task that the candidate needs to perform. The job description is indeed very important when we are accepting a job. One must know about the task that they have to perform and if they will do it or not. Still, very few of the jobs I did previously had a proper job description most of them were common job descriptions with no proper tasks and terms explained there was once a job in which when I checked the description there were no proper tasks defined which made me uneasy to understand whether or not I am eligible for the job. Due to which at first I didn’t want to accept the job because I did not know about what my task was but I noticed that this type of issue is almost in every job so I still applied for it. I did not mention after starting working there I realized most of the daily tasks in the job description and were occupying most of my time making it difficult to perform the central tasks. I don’t have my job description to share but the experience that I had is that a job description is necessary when there are multiple tasks involved because it helps to understand what basically our job is and whether or not we are eligible for it. Some companies don’t even create a job description properly; they have old job descriptions they use, even though the required skills and abilities differ from what the job description defines. If the tasks are not defined properly then there can be many routine tasks or other tasks that are not added in the job description but take a lot of time in your job which can affect the tasks that are mandatory.

Proper job descriptions put the candidates and the employer at ease, that is because the candidate knows what they have to do and employers know which task to give to whom.
