The most important thing I’ve learned from this class was negotiation and closing. The 5 F’s (Fit, Family, Fun, Freedom, Fortune) help the employer present the position to the candidates and help them figure out if the position. Before we get the job, we have to research it and know what we are getting into completely with the job and the company. As candidates we have to know our values by knowing what we are willing to accept and when we should walk away. To know our own value, we need to know our capabilities and other things we bring to the table as candidates. We don’t want to be de-valued by companies who think it is okay to hire you for less than what you are worth. What I liked about module (Module 9) is that it taught us to fully know what we are getting into, really think about whether we fit with a certain company or not, and to not de-value ourselves.
