A regional monitoring program called <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/vegnet\">VegNet <\/a>produces weekly activity reports for 10+ species that occur in this region.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the pests monitored are moths. Adult moths lay eggs on host plants, eggs develop into caterpillars, and caterpillars damage crops.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, there were widespread reports of cutworm and armyworms showing up in grass seed hopper bins and detected only as loads were being delivered.
