Each unit created an action plan Winter &#8217;22, which they are implementing through Spring &#8217;22. <strong>Meet the CTL Fellows and gain an overview of their goals below or via the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ctlfellows\/tag\/2021-22-ctl-fellows-highlights\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ctlfellows\/tag\/2021-22-ctl-fellows-highlights\/\">2021-22 CTL Fellows Highlight tag<\/a>.<\/strong> <em>Their action plans take into consideration the CTL Fellows&#8217; goals outlined in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1EJk8LCsm4wUSI1zaGAiJYnpvAZ8esLsNSHul_76TLv8\/edit?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1EJk8LCsm4wUSI1zaGAiJYnpvAZ8esLsNSHul_76TLv8\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">CTL Fellows&#8217; Position Description<\/a><\/em> and include an area of focus related to one or more teaching needs of faculty in their academic unit or college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Cascades-CTL-Fellows\">Meet the OSU-Cascades CTL Fellows <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/osucascades.edu\/people\/david-engel\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/osucascades.edu\/people\/david-engel\" target=\"_blank\">David Engel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/osucascades.edu\/people\/scott-geddes\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/osucascades.edu\/people\/scott-geddes\">Scott Geddes<\/a> serve in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/osucascades.edu\/faculty-support-center\" target=\"_blank\">Cascades Faculty Success Center (FSC)<\/a>. The FSC is the first point of contact for all OSU-Cascades Faculty for academic, pedagogical, and professional questions. The goal of the FSC is to maximize the impact each faculty member has by connecting them to the resources available to the entire OSU community and providing the support they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/4921\/files\/2022\/04\/Quote-Cascades-1.png?resize=560%2C315&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Our participation in the CTL Fellows Program provides the catalyst for growing synergy between the Corvallis and OSU-Cascades campuses as well as creates pathways to resources for OSU-Cascades faculty. David Engel and Scott Geddes\" class=\"wp-image-246\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OSU-Cascades CTL Fellows&#8217; 2022 Goals <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In their CTL Fellow roles, David and Scott have three overarching goals in alignment with their FSC work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Goal 1<\/strong>: Increase the visibility and accessibility of the Cascades Faculty Success Center.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Goal 2:<\/strong> <em>Explore<\/em> the CTL Fellows program partner resources in Academic Technologies, CTL, and Ecampus; <em>build <\/em>relationships with these units; and <em>create<\/em> pathways in sharing the expertise, programming, and resources these units provide in relationship to the FSC goals and Cascades faculty needs.<\/li><li><strong>Goal 3<\/strong>: As relationships are built and understanding of current resources and faculty needs are identified, participate in collaboration with the CTL Fellows Program Coordinator, program partners, and\/or other CTL Fellows in \u201crepackaging\u201d resources and\/or creating resources to fill gaps.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OSU-Cascades faculty,<\/strong> keep your eyes open for useful email abstracts from David and Scott! Adam Lambert\" class=\"wp-image-230\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COE CTL Fellow&#8217;s 2022 Goal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In his CTL Fellow role, Adam has the following 2022 overarching goal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Goal<\/strong>: Complete a needs assessment during Winter\/Spring 2022 terms of College of Engineering (COE) teaching faculties\u2019 pedagogical needs, opportunities, and successes; and then create a report highlighting recommendations for a multi-year action plan to elevate the successes and meet some of the identified needs with the Center for Teaching and Learning Fellows Program Partner resources in CTL, Academic Technologies, and Ecampus.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A thank you to all College of Engineering administration and teaching faculty participating in Adam\u2019s project!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"COE-CTL-Fellows\">Meet the College of Science CTL Fellows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/science.oregonstate.edu\/directory\/samantha-l-mcgee\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/science.oregonstate.edu\/directory\/samantha-l-mcgee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Samantha McGee<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/science.oregonstate.edu\/directory\/devon-e-quick\" target=\"_blank\">Devon Quick<\/a> are the 2021-\u201922 CTL Fellows in the College of Science. Their CTL Fellows\u2019 focus is on teaching faculty in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/stem.oregonstate.edu\/learning-assistants\/home\" target=\"_blank\">the Learning Assistant (LA) Program<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/4921\/files\/2022\/04\/Quote-COS.png?resize=560%2C315&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"We are excited to grow the LA Program at OSU so it can support more students, support the development of leadership skills in the LAs, and foster a learning community among teaching faculty working with LAs. Samantha McGee and Devon Quick\" class=\"wp-image-233\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COS CTL Fellows&#8217; 2022 Goals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In their CTL Fellow roles, Samantha and Devon have the following 2022 overarching goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Goal 1<\/strong>: To increase implementation of best practices in active learning classrooms by hosting a workshop for teaching faculty about working with Learning Assistants (LAs), setting up classrooms\/courses for working with LAs, and creating conditions needed in class for student success.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Goal 2<\/strong>: Adopt LA Campus for use in planning for the Fall.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Goal 3<\/strong>: Promote the program through an updated Learning Assistant Program website.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COS teaching faculty involved in the Learning Assistant Program<\/strong>, stay tuned for updates on Samantha and Devon\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thank you to all of our 2021-22 CTL Fellows! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reach out to the CTL Fellows in your college to learn more about their work.
