Here are key takeaways, and don&#8217;t forget to access <a href=\"https:\/\/media.oregonstate.edu\/media\/t\/1_bb8asatl\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/media.oregonstate.edu\/media\/t\/1_bb8asatl\"><strong>the recording<\/strong><\/a> for more insights!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Examples of CTL Fellows\u2019 Achievements and New Program Initiatives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Highlights from this year\u2019s CTL Fellows and program activities include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>45 college teaching and learning events, ranging from all-college lunch-and-learns, panels, and workshops, to a book club, informal coffee hours, peer mentorship, and more! &#8211; attracting around 500 attendees. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>130 individual teaching consultations, collaborative strategic planning with college administration, and fostering a sense of community and cross-college synergy around teaching and learning. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Two new program initiatives: the College Administration Liaison group and generative AI efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Connections to OSU\u2019s Prosperity Widely Shared Strategic Plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In her welcome, <strong>Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Senior Vice Provost, Alix Gitelman <\/strong>expressed gratitude for the program and highlighted alignment with <a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstate.app.box.com\/s\/eieyu4i5rua78009uop8cs6qapyssesm\">Prosperity Widely Shared (PWS) Strategic Plan<\/a> and the work of the CTL. Attendees considered how professional development opportunities for teaching faculty contribute to student success, and the importance of integrating these into college strategic plans. We were really excited about this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 Shane Brown and Devlin Montfort, COE<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>College of Health (COH):<\/strong> <strong>Michelle Bump, Cathy Crowell, and Tasha Galardi<\/strong> focused their work on relationship-building to elevate teaching and learning across the college. They highlighted successful Lunch and Learns on student mental health attended by all levels of teaching faculty, and their approach to offering pedagogical support related to curriculum changes, particularly Core Ed.<strong> Bump<\/strong> reminded the audience that quality teaching happens every day and faculty need to feel appreciated and supported for their efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr of those endeavors, was that our faculty are really engaged. They want and are willing to make changes and adapt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 <strong>Michelle Bump, Cathy Crowell, and Tasha Galar<\/strong>di, COH<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OSU-Cascades:<\/strong> <strong>Scott Geddes<\/strong> and <strong>David Engel <\/strong>have served as CTL Fellows and in the <strong>OSU-Cascades Faculty Success Center<\/strong> for the past three years. <strong>Geddes<\/strong> discussed the advantages of long-term collaboration with the CTL Fellows program and partnerships with UIT Academic Technologies and Ecampus. He emphasized the growing relationships and trust established with faculty through diverse programming and mentorship activities. We&#8217;ve been able to fill many roles, and it&#8217;s been such a positive experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 <strong>Scott Geddes<\/strong> and <strong>David Engel <\/strong>, OSU Cascades<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS):<\/strong> <strong>Demian Hommel<\/strong> highlighted goals such as offering personalized pedagogical support, collaborating with college administration to identify opportunities, and organizing events responsive to professional development needs. That&#8217;s where the magic happens.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 De<strong>mian Homme<\/strong>l, CEOAS<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recurring Themes and Future Visions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The showcase underscored several recurring themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Providing relevant, practical, just-in-time, and individualized support:<\/strong> All colleges highlighted the benefits of individual contact with faculty, from peer mentoring to one-on-one consultations.
