Our research group studies nearshore and surfzone dynamics, as part of the Coastal Imaging Laboratory (CIL) in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) in Oregon State University. We use a variety of statistical and numerical modeling techniques, remote and in-situ observations in our research, to better understand the physics of the nearshore zone. We collaborate with coastal engineers and practicioners to put our research into practice, helping to predict and understand coastal change and hazards.
