Welcome to the 2016-17 year! Are you ready to make meaningful connections with employers and find great opportunities related to your major?

We have been busy in the Career Development Center this summer, and we are excited to debut the revamped Career Expo October 25, 26 & 27!

You are totally welcome to attend any and all days of the Expo. In order to streamline your experience though, check out the STEM & Health Career Fair from 11am to 3pm on Thursday, October 27th. Here are a couple of the employers who have already registered that might interest you:

“Networking” can be a challenge for many people, When it comes to making connections with employers, here are some quick and easy tips to get you started:

• Wait for the employer to finish the current conversation before you introduce yourself. You want to make sure that you have the employer’s full attention!
• Tell the employer your name, what you are studying, and what type of work you intend to pursue after graduation. Ask about available opportunities that would be a good fit for you!
• Offer the employer a copy of your resume. Don’t assume that they will remember you by name if they don’t have it in writing!
• Thank the employer for taking the time to talk with you, and be sure to follow up with an email after the Expo.
