{"id":836,"date":"2025-05-22T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T21:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cphhs-internships\/?p=836"},"modified":"2025-05-28T17:53:20","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T00:53:20","slug":"internships-with-washington-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cphhs-internships\/2025\/05\/internships-with-washington-county\/","title":{"rendered":"Internships with Washington County"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Washington County accepts internship applications year round, and goes to the pool when an opportunity becomes available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goals of our internship program are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Actively participate in the education and training of the future health and human services workforce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduce students to public service careers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support a diverse and local workforce reflective of our community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note: HHS can support a limited number of internships. Applicants are strongly encouraged to explore other internship placements in addition to HHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is eligible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for an internship, a student must be enrolled in an approved educational institution. Students pursuing an associates, bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s or PhD degrees may apply. Internships may be part-time or full-time based on requirements of the internship and the student\u2019s availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Internship applications are accepted year-round. As internship opportunities become available, applicants are notified.
