Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families, within the College of Health at OSU.&nbsp; The endowment also supports a paid summer internship at <strong><em>Friends of the Children<\/em><\/strong> for a COH graduate student. The survey will be designed to collect updated contact information; information about their lives after the program, for example whether they are enrolled in post-secondary education, employed and\/or enlisted in the military; and whether\/how they would benefit from additional support and connection to Friends of the Children.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employ survey administration best practices to increase survey response rates, including marketing of incentives and a robust system of reminders through diverse communication pathways, such as email, text, phone calls and social media.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write weekly updates that will be shared with our National Executive Team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze survey data on the full sample and a subset of recent graduates through age 21.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and present a report and presentation of findings (alumni data) and include recommendations for improving alumni data tracking and tips for how to best provide ongoing support to alumni. Based on findings, inform design of new alumni \u201cLife Coach\u201d staff position supporting alumni between the ages of 16-22.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The ideal intern will:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have knowledge of and a scholarly interest in child and youth development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a proven capacity for self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work remotely.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference given to students with some quantitative data collection and analyses experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference given to students without prior summer funding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference will be given to a PhD student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must be OSU students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Details:<\/strong> The internship is half-time (<strong>20 hours\/week<\/strong>) for 8 weeks <strong>between July 1<sup>st<\/sup> and August 28<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>, paid at a competitive hourly rate dependent on graduate status. Schedule is flexible and <strong>work will be<\/strong> <strong>remote<\/strong>. The intern will report directly to Erin Wellington, Quality Assurance and Evaluation Analyst in the Friends of the Children National Office.\u00a0 This intern will also partner closely with Susan Walsh, Ph.D. Chief Officer Research and Quality in the Friends of the Children National Office.
