The intern will assist the EHS department with projects from scope definition through implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Essential Job Functions &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in identifying, planning, and leading EHS projects and actions to minimize the risk of incidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct incident investigations using root cause analysis and corrective\/preventive action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform risk assessments to evaluate hazardous conditions using hierarchy of controls to develop solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform weekly inspections of key programs to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with the Safety Manager on the training and development of facility emergency response team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in the research, design and implementation of EHS programs, plans and procedures guiding regulatory compliance, prevention of undesired consequences and risk reduction strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support data analytics reporting and documentation management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop working knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations as well as consensus standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research and present on industry trends and best practices for EHS disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand and manage risks associated with your role and those that impact organizational objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in required company meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain an organized work area (5S).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete all other work duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Minimum Requirements, Education &amp; Experience (incl.
