We have basic functionality and graphical display of information up and running. I have added the configuration code to the app to allow users to select a date range when back testing an algorithm. I am now working on adding a selector to the web app to change the asset class.&nbsp; Next up we are focusing on developing the actual trading algorithms that our program will use. Up to this point we have been using example algorithms to test basic app functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an aside I\u2019d just like to mention how much I hate using GitHub. Once you start doing anything more complicated than cloning a repo, things can go wrong very quickly. GitHub just feels very clunky and un user friendly. It spits out arcane error messages that require extensive googling to decipher. GitHub has a desktop version with a Graphical user interface, but it feels too limited and its awkward to navigate. Of course, I recognize the need for version control systems, but there must be a better way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our group project is making good progress.
