We have contacted our corporate sponsor and written our project plan. Like all new projects one of the greatest challenges early on is familiarizing oneself with a new toolchain. When working with a new framework of language it can feel like one is stumbling around in the dark for the first few hours, struggling to get even simple functions to work properly. Eventually something clicks and things start making sense. For me that\u2019s probably one of the most rewarding aspects of software development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our project involves developing stock trading algorithms using the open-source LEAN framework. Our ultimate goal is to develop a cloud based web app that will allow automated back testing of algorithms and display the results graphically. Our app will allow users to simplify the developing and testing of new trading algorithms using quantconnect LEAN. We have set some lofty goals for this project, and we may not be able accomplish all of them within the time frame of this class, but I\u2019m looking forward to the challenge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our team project is gradually coming together.
