What is Computer Architecture?
Computer Architecture is the set of rules or methods that describe different aspects of a computer system which include functionality, organization, and implementation. These set of rules allows the computer’s software and hardware to be joined together into one system and interact to make the computer platform/system. The main categories that computer architecture consists of are system design, instruction set architecture and microarchitecture. System design will include the hardware parts such was CPU, data processors, memory controllers and direct memory access. Instruction set architecture will include the CPU’s functions and capabilities. Microarchitecture will define the data processing, storage element, and how they should be implemented into the instruction set architecture.
