As a Master Gardener? As a gardener? How can we honor his teachings in our own work?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us for a moderated online Zoom discussion January 18th, 7pm. As part of the University-wide 39th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, OSU Extension Master Gardener volunteers and staff are invited ahead of time to read, view and reflect upon materials and prompts of inclusion and identity as gardeners and Master Gardeners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Listen to and reflect upon the YouTube <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?fbclid=IwAR2aKlXoVtdYcRYXK_uw3UNbosRSvryBbaiSKktLSZtCqM4DHNJIR2rayKY&amp;v=m5HCe_ivlgA&amp;feature=youtu.be\">interview<\/a> of Abra Lee, by Annie Guilfoyle and Noel Kingsbury of Garden Masterclass.<\/li><li>Read and reflect upon the article posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregonhumanities.org\/rll\/magazine\/turn\/deep-roots\/?fbclid=IwAR0VsTrmcDr97RP0_8cpRBtFmzVyQogo0_jahyrV8sMLs6G5tdx6wJGSJSM\">Oregon Humanities Website<\/a> about farming as a form of homecoming for the African American community in Portland.<\/li><li>Watch the presentation: <a href=\"https:\/\/vod.video.cornell.edu\/media\/Session+17A++Steady+%26+FocusedA++Efforts+to+Promote+Racial+Justice+in+Oregon%E2%80%99s+Master+Gardener+Program\/1_7jgon38g?st=900&amp;fbclid=IwAR3bXS97qXzBUnDqiAP77ZY7Y8J4uGi2DgqrCNle-WTa7GeQnxCeMWi9UQU\">Steady &amp; Focused<\/a>: Efforts to Promote Racial Justice in Oregon\u2019s Master Gardener Program. This talk was given this past year at Cornell University\u2019s Ag In-Service Day and at the National Extension Master Gardener Conference by OSU Extension Master Gardener leadership Gail Langelotto and LeAnn Locher.<\/li><li>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/imghp?hl=EN&amp;fbclid=IwAR2V9FTHhqALEVuvZ_Wxn5UHCLfLY6TSnIkDh6X-r1ArwATaIOLgM70NY-w\">Google Image Search<\/a> to search for the terms &#8220;Gardener&#8221; and &#8220;Master Gardener. What do you notice about the images that are returned with these search terms?
