The Dean, faculty and staff of Oregon State University College of Veterinary invite you to attend events this week to honor the 2011 DVM candidates. The College Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at CH2M Hill Alumni Center. The week culminates with graduation ceremonies on Sunday, June 12. The keynote speaker for graduation is Tracey McNamara, DVM., Diplomate, ACVP. She is a professor of pathology at Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, Calif. Dr. McNamara specializes in the recognition and understanding of the diseases of captive and free-ranging wildlife and is best known for her work on West Nile virus. Faculty speaker will be Clinical Sciences Department Head, Dr. Christopher Cebra.
Other members of the platform party are Dean Cyril Clarke, Dr. Susan Tornquist, Dr. Becky Warner, The Honorable Douglas Whitsett, Dr. Lynda Ciuffetti, Dr. Laird Goodman, Dr. Luiz Bermudez, Dr. Helen Diggs and Dr. Jerry Heidel. Drs. Elena Gorman and Jennifer Warnock were selected for the hooding honors, and Drs. John Schlipf and Bernard Séguin will be the marshals.
