The Western Veterinary conference is offering a $1,000 award to five recently graduated veterinarians who are enrolled in a formal internship or first-year residency in some aspect of food animal medicine, surgery, theriogenology, or epidemiology. Recipients will also receive an expense paid trip to the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas in February 2014. Last year, Dr. Clare Scully, CVM resident in theriogenology, received the award.
