This was an exciting week because our team finalized and submitted our project plan. It was rough getting everything together at first, because a project at the start can seem daunting when nothing is laid out yet. But, we all got our heads together and started putting things on paper. Once we got the ball rolling and requirements laid out, it started getting easier to imagine a road map and the end goal and what efforts this project would require. Ali is the sort of technical lead for our team because both David and I are unfamiliar with the languages we are using for back-end. But we made it work so that David and I would work on front-end while Ali would work on the back-end technologies and languages. I think this set-up will work at the beginning but we have already seen that we will be helping each other in all aspects of the project.
This was also an exciting week because we set up our repository and David dropped the first bit of code into it. He is getting us started with the basic mock-ups of the UI, and it’s now my job to start applying the implementation tools to connect and communicate with the back-end. I have a lot to review so after I finish this blog post, I will begin reviewing the following:
