Work is expected to continue through September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>Special update<\/strong> <\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Full closure of SW 35<sup>th<\/sup> St. at the Oak Creek bridge starts on Monday, August 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/strong> The bridge will remain fully closed to ALL traffic, including emergency vehicles,<strong> through Friday, August 22. A second closure at the railroad crossing at SW 35<sup>th<\/sup> St. and Washington Way is tentatively scheduled for the last week of August. <\/strong>Detours will be in place. SW 35<sup>th<\/sup> St. will remain open to traffic on both the north and south sides of the bridge, but no traffic will be allowed to cross. The bridge will remain closed overnight and through weekends. Bike lanes on SW 35<sup>th<\/sup> St. will be closed. Sidewalks will remain open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paving work will also occur on Western Blvd. during this time frame and traffic impacts in this area are expected. More information about the SW 35<sup>th<\/sup> St. closures will be communicated by <strong>Friday, August 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Planned projects for the week of July 28 \u2013 Aug. 1<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sidewalk ADA ramp work will continue at SW 15<sup>th<\/sup> St. and Western Blvd.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Traffic &amp; travel impacts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Both SW 35<sup>th<\/sup> St. and Western Blvd. will remain open to vehicle traffic this week.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lane shifts\/closures will be in place to create work zones on Western Blvd between SW 15 \u2013 26<sup>th<\/sup> St.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bicyclists may be directed to ride with traffic through work zones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pedestrian detours may be in effect at the Western Blvd.\/15<sup>th<\/sup> St. intersection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Changes to city bus stops will be in effect.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Changes will be posted at the bus stop and on the City\u2019s website. <a href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.corvallisoregon.gov%2Fcts&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ccampus.notifications%40oregonstate.edu%7C281f9a32095f4e9653c508ddba4fa48e%7Cce6d05e13c5e4d6287a84c4a2713c113%7C0%7C0%7C638871573437308916%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=Kd8%2FNehBBwx2DawqlvFWMW1q8X2oQeUJTegw73P0r%2BU%3D&amp;reserved=0\">https:\/\/www.corvallisoregon.gov\/cts<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For questions or comments on this closure, contact <a href=\"mailto:Josh.Bjornstedt@corvallisoregon.gov\">Josh.Bjornstedt@corvallisoregon.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis.
