This is an update on the Washington Way Improvement Project<\/a>. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that multiple projects will be starting and ending in the area over the next few weeks and months. See below for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Way Closed Between 26th<\/sup> \u2013 30th<\/sup> St. Starting Dec. 18<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Washington Way between 26th<\/sup> and 30th<\/sup> St. will be closed for construction starting on Monday, December 18<\/strong> and continuing through the winter and spring 2024 terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Way 17th<\/sup> – 26th<\/sup> St. Reopening Jan. 5<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Construction activity between 17th<\/sup> and 26th<\/sup> St. will be finishing up over the next few weeks, depending on the weather. This section of Washington Way is expected to reopen by Friday, January 5<\/strong>. The two-way cycle track will also be opening and a separate Campus Notification will follow regarding the traffic pattern change in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Way & 26th<\/sup> Street Construction During Winter Break<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the period between December 18 and January 5<\/strong>, Washington Way will be closed all the way from 17th<\/sup> to 30th<\/sup> St. <\/strong>The north sidewalk will be closed. The multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way will be open for pedestrians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the intersection at 26th<\/sup> St. and Washington Way will be closed from December 18 through December 29<\/strong>. The intersection will be closed in ALL DIRECTIONS.<\/strong> This is a significant change to the notification sent on 12\/14<\/a> regarding this closure.<\/strong> The sidewalks will be closed on both sides of 26th<\/sup> Street from Washington Way to Dixon Recreation Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
