Effective Date(s): Saturday, March 25 through Monday, March 27<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation<\/a> project, there will be a planned power outage from Saturday, March 25 through Monday, March 27<\/strong>. The new, permanent generator for the building will be installed during this time. Fairbanks Hall will be closed to the public during the outage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building power will be restored no later than end of day on Monday, March 27. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Art Department reserved parking spaces will be unavailable during this power outage. Signs will be posted. Cars may be towed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage?<\/strong>\u00a0Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Saturday, March 25. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. The building will not have network connectivity during this power outage, i.e. no wireless, wired internet or VoIP phone connectivity. Anything that relies on the network will not be functional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules. For more information regarding work scheduling, please refer to the instructions regarding Interruptions of University Operations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
