The Halfway Point Turmoil

We’re here at the halfway point and decided just after last post that our site required a significant redesign to fit the table-site flow that we wanted to use (i.e. RESTful). So thank you John (who had experience working with a RESTful project) for hacking it apart and getting it back together where it needed to be. We think we have all the wrinkles smoothed now and luckily it was mainly routing changes, so very little of the logic (handlebars, database architecture, html, etc.) had to be rewritten.

Following that was the midterm video presentation, so that shifted priorities slightly for me. I shifted from backend to frontend for the week, doing a quick once-over of the display pages so that at least none of them were displaying raw text outputs.

Related-unrelated is of course that mid term also brought my other midterm with it, which, along with an out-of-town doctor’s appointment, will put a brief pause on getting into anything too heavy here. My goal is to maintain the CI process of pulling at least once a day to make sure I stay on top of changes, but I hesitate to commit to much more than that until I have a better handle on my time.
