I’m not the biggest fan of front-end. I haven’t even made it into the good stuff yet and I’m already feeling the impending weight of style sheets, formatting, and the like. This past week I’ve been able to stick to HTML for the most part, making the mainly static add-whatever pages, but next up will be connecting those to our data structure with JavaScript and… formatting (shiver).
Hopefully we get the input lists that we need from the client soon. It doesn’t necessarily have an immediate impact on where we are and what we’re doing, but it is getting to the point where I’m starting to draw conclusions and develop concerns for how this project is going to progress as bigger decisions and shorter deadlines start appearing.
On a more personal note, the family got hit pretty hard with CoViD following the birthday extravaganza of last week. All of that is coming to a happy conclusion though, with people out of the hospital and everyone else on the up and up, getting ready to get back to work.
