Looking back on my first post I did not know how much influence microbes could have on our overall health or how they could influence disease. BHS 323 has taught demonstrated that our evolutionary relationship with microbes has been crucial to our survival and health. Some of the most important topics I will take away from this class is how I think about interactions with microbes and how a person can effect their microbiome based on choices that they make. I will also take away a lot of knowledge about how to write and read scientific papers.
