In his article titled, “Human papillomavirus (HPV), HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer, and HPV vaccine in the United States—Do we need a broader vaccine policy?”(2013), Osazuwa Peters explores the necessity to create broader vaccine policy in order to prevent oral HPV infections. Peters provides evidence of needed vaccine policy by analyzing data from sources such as the CDC and EMBASE databases. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the importance of increasing vaccine policy to slow the spread of HPV. Peters establishes a scholarly relationship with academics in both immunological research and medical policy.
