Hello, I’m Carolina! This is my last semester at OSU, and will graduate this December. I am really excited to complete the program and venture out to the tech world. This blog will be about my capstone project, semester progress, and anything tech related. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started my coding journey during the pandemic. I was working for an accounting firm and we transitioned to work from home. During that time I realized I had more time to focus on my goal to learn how to code. I took some entry level courses at my local community college before I discovered OSU. Luckily, I was able to transfer those courses when I was accepted into the program. From there I worked full time and took two courses every semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year I was selected for the GHC scholarship with my other classmates and was able to attend the conference. This was my opportunity to connect with companies and show off my skills. From that conference I was able to secure an internship. My plan was to continue working at my current job until I get an internship and then use my last semester to focus on my last two courses to graduate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This summer I was an intern at Bank of America in their Global Technology program. I spent my summer in NJ\/NYC and gained valuable experience from the bank. The technology was all new to me but I had experience in a corporate setting. So it was not as terrifying as I thought it would be. The internship gave me a confidence boost because the imposter syndrome I had in the beginning was going away and I was really lucky to have a supportive team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This semester I will be taking capstone and 344(374) and searching for my new full time role. I will be busy! But I am excited that I am almost to the finish line. My motivations are of course my family, my boyfriend and my three dogs! I am excited to join my team and create an awesome project. I wish you all a great capstone! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
