I have put in a lot of effort for a while. I have successfully switched form Mechanical Engineering to a top tier software company, have maintained a good GPA through the program and have had a kid while working a full time job and doing school. After I finish school I want to take some time to enjoy life and hang out with my kid. My son is almost 2. I had him in the program and really enjoy hanging out with him. Currently I try and get homework done after I put him down for bed, but would like to be able to just chill after putting him down. I also really love Skiing and Mountain biking. I am excited to be able just work and do life for a while. I would like to get more days on my bike and would like to be able to bike after I put my son down for bed. I have a reasonable sized bike jump in my yard, that I like to practice on and can’t wait to not have any homework hanging over my head.

Looking towards summer I am getting very excited for bike season. I am really excited to go to whistler for biking this year. It is one of the best places in the world and the bike park their is really well built. They have tons of runs and the jump lines are built extremely smoothly. Whistler is also just a great town for hanging out in the summer. There are fun lakes in the summer and there are tons or restaurants to eat at.

After I have time to enjoy life for a while I would like to start interview prepping again and then I would like to try and see what kind of offers I can get. I know the Software industry can pay quite a lot, so I would like to see what kind of positions I will be able to get after a while in the industry and some increased focused on systems design and increasing my coding skills.
