Known for its crucifixion.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Crucifixion:&nbsp;<\/strong>The Roman&#8217;s method of punishment which the victim is tied or nailed to a large wooden beam and left to hang, perhaps for several days, until eventual death from exhaustion and asphyxiation.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Disciples:&nbsp;<\/strong>A personal follower of Jesus during his life, especially one of the twelve Apostles.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Ethiopia<\/strong>: Fourth century historical accounts indicate missionaries came from the east across the Red Sea<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Ethiopian Church<\/strong>: The presiding bishop was not native but from Alexandria as late as 1951.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>God:&nbsp;<\/strong>The creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Hildegard of Bingen:&nbsp;<\/strong>Widely recognized as a seer this gave her special authority rare for women<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Hypostasis:&nbsp;<\/strong>A nature in its concrete realization in a particular thing or person<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>India:&nbsp;<\/strong>Claims to be founded by the Apostle Thomas, which is quite possible<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Jerome:&nbsp;<\/strong>Monk who translated the Bible into Latin (the Vulgate)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Jesus<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Christ<\/strong>: Son of God.
