Experiences With Discrimination

If one of my favorite companies was faced with a lawsuit because they were faced with widespread discrimination, I think that the way I feel about the company would definitely change as I would think much less of their Human Resources department, and the CEO. They are the ones in charge of making sure that discrimination does not occur in the workplace and they would be showing that they are not doing their job. The employees would also be to blame for not be doing their part to avoid this issue. It would show that the company is severely lacking the proper training programs and not following (or having written to begin with) their code of conduct.

If the company was partaking in discriminatory acts, I don’t know that it would influence my decision to support the company. It would definitely depend on the company for sure and how badly I need/want their products. If it wasn’t an essential product for me, I probably wouldn’t continue to support the company. This certainly would influence my decision to apply there one day, though. I would not apply for a company who is actively discriminating because they obviously don’t have the best training or rules in place. Their company reputation would be ruined and there is no way that I would want to be associated with any sort of business that is acting unethically. Anyone working for that company during the time of the discrimination lawsuit could potentially ruin their chances of working for other companies later.
