We&#8217;re making steady progress in developing our Text Adventure Game for Education. This project has forced me to learn a lot of new technologies and become more comfortable with some technologies that I&#8217;d worked with briefly in the past. For example, I&#8217;d had some experience with SQL in the past using PHPMyAdmin and MongoDB, but Vitaliy and I have been developing the schema for our games database using Xampp which has given me some trouble here and there. I&#8217;m also still getting comfortable with JavaScript and React but my teammates have more experience, so it&#8217;s been helpful to review the code they&#8217;ve pushed to our GitHub repository to gain a better understanding of them and how they work. I also had not worked with PHP files before but now I have a better understanding of them and how they work. They aren&#8217;t all that different from regular old HTML, fortunately. Our project has a feature where a user can scan a QR code and be taken to a specific text adventure game to play. I had no experience coding with QR codes in this way, but I got some very helpful responses in our class&#8217;s Help Desk Discussion that pointed me in the right direction. It was fun to learn and I could see that being useful for future projects I develop. I&#8217;m slowly gaining some confidence in using these technologies and I&#8217;m looking forward to testing myself more as we move into Sprint 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TAG Team is nearly completed with Sprint 1 of CS462.
