{"id":10,"date":"2020-02-18T01:32:43","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T01:32:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cags\/?page_id=10"},"modified":"2023-10-09T12:22:05","modified_gmt":"2023-10-09T19:22:05","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cags\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><em>Welcome to the official website for the CEOAS Association of Graduate Students (CAGS) at Oregon State University! <\/em><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><em>Whether you are already a student in CEOAS and wanting to keep up with CAGS or are considering joining our community<\/em>, <em>we hope that you find this website to be a solid resource for you<\/em>.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><em>If you are considering CEOAS, make sure to take a look at our prospective student pages, including a breakdown of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cags\/academics\/\">academics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cags\/relocation\/\">relocation advice<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/cags\/corvallis\/\">Corvallis tips and tricks<\/a>.<\/em><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><br>Mission<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CAGS&nbsp;acts as a liaison between the students and the Deans in order to voice student concerns. It meets quarterly with the Deans as well as having a representative on the Dean&#8217;s Advisory Council.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CAGS coordinates social events to build cohesiveness within&nbsp;CEOAS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CAGS&nbsp;has a small pool of funds for reimbursing travel expenses to conferences and off-campus courses and workshops. See more in &#8220;Awards.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">All currently enrolled CEOAS graduate students in accordance with OSU policy are automatically considered full members of CAGS. CEOAS graduate students will remain full members until they complete their degree program.
