I initially chose computer science because I’ve always been “pretty good” with general computer related stuff. However, I think technically I probably would have been better at doing IT stuff.
I decided to get my 2nd degree in computers science because I wanted to work in the tech industry because of the promise of high paying careers that provides stimulation.
I currently work in the health care industry, and at some point, the work becomes fairly “boring” and mundane. Throughout my career, I hit that mental roadblock of “I can’t be doing this for the rest of my life, can I”?
So, if I figured a better time to learn something new and switch was when I am about to turn 40 years old. You only live once, right?
Anyway, as I’m about to graduate and finish, I still honestly can’t figure out exactly where I see myself working. Personally, I don’t see myself working in any of the major tech industries’ Ala MSFT, Google, Amazon.
I see myself working in areas that suit my personality, such as maybe bioinformatics or something that brings good positive change in the world.
