I’ve learned a lot so far on this capstone project. A lot of new libraries and frameworks I haven’t used before this. But I’ve gained a lot of experience with it.
All of our members had a time working with both the backend and frontend of our project. Personally I was in charge of adding a few features to the frontend that needed new endpoints and functions to be created in the backend. Such as editing our data with PUT calls and moving data to our trash bin, which in return changes a value in our database so adding a new PATCH endpoint. Which in return added new schema set up. All this was great experience in FastAPI work.
The most difficult challenge for me was what I already mentioned was using new libraries and frameworks. Doing tasks such as json import/export on a browser, using FastAPI, and just the tiny blockers along the way.
How I handled getting stuck in this project is pretty simple. I don’t want to ever give up on something so easily so I’ll always keep trying to figure out something on my own. Then I’ll go to my teammates and ask if anyone can help. Getting fresh eyes on your problem is always a positive and can really help.
