How is the journey so far?<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n
The journey of learning about neural networks and machine learning has been both challenging and rewarding. These fields have gained significant attention in recent years due to their potential to revolutionize various industries and impact our daily lives.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
As I’ve delved further into this topic I’ve discovered their wide range of applications. In fields like computer vision, neural networks can be used for image recognition, object detection, and facial recognition. Natural language processing (NLP) leverages neural networks to analyze and generate human language, enabling applications like sentiment analysis, chatbots, and machine translation. Neural networks are also employed in recommender systems, financial modeling, fraud detection, and many other domains.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
Learning these new skills opens up exciting opportunities for work and personal growth. In the professional realm, companies are leveraging machine learning to extract insights from large datasets, automate processes, improve decision-making, and enhance customer experiences. On a personal level, I have further developed critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of data analysis<\/h6>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do you feel your project is on-track to succeed? If not, what do you plan to do to help the team get back on track?<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n
Yes, I believe the team has been making steady progress on the project. We each have taken different aspects of the project to focus on. I’ve been primarily researching neural networks and how to best create a model that suits our needs for genre classification. My other team members have been diving into instantiating a cloud provider to host our application on, how to receive requests from the user, and lastly how to convert a given audio file into a Mel-spectrogram which will ultimately be fed into the machine learning model. <\/h6>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
What communication tools is your team using, and how well is this going?<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n
We have been using Discord as our primary means of communication and it has been working wonderfully. Each member has responded in a timely manner and gives frequent progress updates on their area of focus. <\/h6>\n\n\n\n
