We work at the intersection of biological and Buddhist thought, and integrate contemplative approaches into our research and lab culture. We study many living systems that currently include slugs, nematodes, mushrooms, and trees. We deploy many qualitative and quantitative analytical methods that currently include DNA sequencing, ethnobiological interviews, laboratory assays, and field-based biological research.
