Hummus

Ingredients: 1 can of chickpeas, 1 large lemon, 1 large garlic clove (or 2 small ones) chopped, 2T Olive oil, 2T Tahini, water or Chickpea liquid/water: water depends on what consistency you desire, Salt to taste 

Tools: A blender (or other alternative wave to mash), Fork/spoon/or rubber spatula (to move contents from bottom of blender to the top, Measuring cups/spoons

 Alternative ways to blend/mash: fork, potato masher, mortar and pestle, a bowl and plastic cup 

Instructions: 

  1. Drain the can of chickpeas (save liquid if not using water)
  2. Add chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, garlic, salt, and water/chickpea juice into the blender. 

Note: Lemon juice and salt can be added after blending the rest of the ingredients to better suit flavor preference 

  1. Blend the ingredients until desired consistency is reached. 

Note: More liquid will make for a smoother texture
