I\u2019m actually quite nervous to be searching for a job in a new field with a baby on the way. While I\u2019ve heard that the tech industry can offer a good work life balance, I don\u2019t know if they\u2019ll be thrilled with hiring a soon to be parent. I\u2019ve heard of companies giving employees paid family leave but I don\u2019t know if it would be possible to use upon being hired or after a few weeks on the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since I have no idea how demanding raising a baby can be, I\u2019ve been contemplating about just postponing my job search for a few weeks. I think doing so will give me time to adjust, extra time with my daughter, and get a routine going, if that\u2019s even possible in the first few months lol. This way I wouldn\u2019t have to worry about getting and using family leave so soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If any of you readers have any experience with switching jobs with a newborn, let me know!
