Week 5 Blog Assignment


Many businesses and companies have different processes when it comes to the selection of the hires. I worked as an intern for a cleaning company that I have done the last two years. This last summer, the two hiring employees were out of the office longer than expected. Since I have experience with the company, they had me do the interview, just asking the general questions and use our interview question sheet that we keep. These interview processes have specific questions that can be an asset to the company, that can further into a second interview. This helps the job selection out and finding what can succeed best in our company, and who will be hardworking and can face challenges that we may come up against.This has also helped me get a perspective on how I can improve interview skills, and what challenges and questions I will be faced with. It helped me understand in a hands on experience how the job hiring process is involved. 

During our lessons this week, we learned about the importance of selection and recruitment. It has been taught about the balance between the selection, and what would work best for the company at hand. If the person is qualified, has all of the requirements, and all of the skills needed for this job. We learn that the selection utility is worth the time and effort in finding someone that is going to fit best in the business. The lessons explain the importance of finding the right person that can do the job the best for the company.
