Option 3: International Human resource management
I will be comparing US practices with the United Kingdoms HR practices. The first comparison that is made is about their wages. According to prospects. ac.UK HR employees have a high wage than typical wages in the country. Since the country is very advanced they have very similar practices to the US. Overtime work is compensated fairly. One of the differences is in the UK there is a maximum amount of hours that can be worked and the schedules of work are more flexible. In the US there isn’t a maximum amount of hours that are worked beyond the extremes. Another similarity between the two countries is they are both individualized in companies. That is, they act as a single person and not as a group or a team. One of the things I would look into before taking the job and making sure they have a structure on how things are run. What is the protocol for hiring employees? What processes are used for determining who needs training? These questions would help me consider the position. To convince me to take the job, they would have to pay a good salary, have a sociable work environment, and have a strong leadership team with experience.
