When thinking of human non-infectious diseases influenced by microorganisms,
some coming to mind include cancer, heart disease, diabetes, asthma,
Alzheimer’s, anemia, and allergies. This questions proved to be somewhat hard
because I initially thought of infectious diseases such as the cold, chicken pox,
coronavirus, and the measles for example. It’s interesting how infectious diseases were once the major cause of death in the 1900s, but in the present-day, non- infectious diseases have surpassed infectious diseases. Very excited and eager to learn more regarding how microbes influence human health.
