High bay featuring three-story structural wall for testing wood products in the new\u00a0A.A. “Red” Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory<\/em><\/p>\n Rising up on the west side of the Corvallis\u00a0campus, the A.A. “Red” Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory brings a high tech look to the area of barns and fields associated with the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. The high bay area will have plenty of space for large, long panels and beams.\u00a0The floor is reinforced to hold heavy structures. The AWP will be a resource for undergraduate and graduate\u00a0students\u00a0learning about mass timber\u00a0research, manufacturing, design and engineering and will enhance the undergrad research experience for College of Forestry students.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe\u00a0A.A. “Red” Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory is made possible by a donation of $6 million by\u00a0A.A. “Red” Emmerson, found of Sierra Pacific Industries, the second largest lumber company in the United States.
