OSU College of Pharmacy’s Entrepreneurial Academy (EA) is a group of business-minded pharmacy students, many of whom participate in our dual PharmD/MBA program. The EA works hard each year to carefully plan, manage and execute a complex community outreach event called Beaver Trivia Night. However, with COVID-19 restricting the ability to congregate for in-person events, the EA leadership has taken on the project of building out the BeaveRx Store for the Alumni Office into a fully functional online store. Everyone can now purchase OSU College of Pharmacy logoed items directly from the online store.
2020 EA student leaders Gloria Zepeda (’23), Brittany Ly (’23) and Michelle Zhou (’23), looked to EA faculty advisor Paige Clark (’86), for guidance on this year’s project in the scope of COVID restrictions and social distancing and this project has provided the students with an incredible opportunity to learn about merchandising, pricing, marketing, contracts, and finance management. The Alumni Office has run the College’s logoed items store for over a decade, but this new store format streamlines purchases, makes distance purchasing possible and coordinates shipping to the purchaser.
