On Thursday, January 19, the College welcomed a modest sized group of remarkable alumni from the Portland Retail Druggists’ Association (PRDA) in order to thank them for their generous donation – an exquisite antique cabinet on display in the College’s main office. Included in the group were alumni Mark Hyman (’65), Richard Kaegi (’52), John Kaegi (’57), Mike Dardis (’63), and Dick Gustafson (’56).
The antique cabinet displays an impressive collection of historic artifacts from the Pharmacy profession provided to the college by John Kaegi (’57) who has also gifted the College with a pristine photograph of the attendees to 1925 OSPA Convention, which was held at the College of Pharmacy. Once framed, the photograph will hang above the cabinet in the entry to the College’s main office inviting all who visit to learn and appreciate the history of the Pharmacy profession.
The College extends sincerest thanks to the members of the PRDA for the donation of the display cabinet as well as to John Kaegi for sharing his impressive collection of pharmacy artifacts and historic photo for the benefit of the next generation of pharmacists.
